When a leader finds their voice

There’s a specific moment I watch for with every executive I work with.

It’s not the polished delivery. It’s not the perfect slide. It’s the moment a leader stops performing with confidence and starts having it. The room can feel the difference between someone reciting talking points, and someone who means what they are saying.

I’ve worked with leaders who struggled with this for moths. Then, in one room, one one day, something clicks. The nerves are still there and might never disappear. The hesitation does.

That’s the best part of the job. Not writing the words for someone. Watching for the moment they find their own.
