One sentence beats a 40-page crisis plan

Every founder thinks they need a full crisis plan. Some do. A binder. A flowchart. A war room.

Most need one sentence.

I’ve been in rooms with multi-page crisis playbooks that nobody could find when it mattered. I’ve watched a founder save a company with two words.

The plan isn’t the plan. It’s knowing what you’d say if the worts thing happened tomorrow. And say it without flinching, calm and to the right audience. Everything else is just paperwork.

If you can’t write your crisis response in one sentence, you don’t have a plan. You have a document.
